Who Do You Think You Are? (And Who Do You Really Want to Be?)
Dec 30, 2025
Hello all!
As we reflect on this past year and embrace 2026, I'm wondering:
"Who do you think you are?"
and
"Who do you want to be?"
Whether we're conscious of it or not, most of us spend our lives living according to other people's ideas of who we should be.
- Do this for a living (not that)
- Happiness looks like ---- not -----
- "Beauty" looks like this-----
- Love this type of person, on this timeline, in this way, etc.
- Being a "good person" requires this (but prohibits that)....
- Being successful means....
- You are capable of (or entitled to) xxx but not yyy....
Even if the messages from our families, society, etc. have been well-intentioned, the outcome can leave us feeling like we've lived other people's dreams for us rather than our own.
We can feel like we've been on automatic pilot.
Many of us have heard, "Who do you think you are?" whenever we dared to ask ourselves what it is we really want?
This phrase is often used to keep you in a box that makes other people comfortable (and you uncomfortable).
This year, I hope you give yourself the gift of getting to know yourself better. Of taking back the question, "Who do I think I am?" And asking yourself, "Who would I ideally like to be?"
Of paying attention to how you feel as you go about your daily life. And of creating space for you to express and embrace your soul's purpose and your heart's desire♥️.
Wishing you peace, self-love, and joy, now and always.
